Mamata Banerjee inaugurates book fair in Kolkata

Kolkata, Jan 29 (ANI): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, inaugurated an international book fair in Kolkata. The fair will be open to public from Wednesday and continue till February 09. The focal theme of this year's fair is Peru. It will see participation of 29 countries besides publishers from across India showcasing their books in nearly 600 stalls. Soon after inaugurating the fair, Banerjee said that the event could very rightly be dubbed as 'grassland of books'.The most anticipated event in this fair would be the inauguration of Kolkata Language and Literature Festival (KLLF) in which several luminaries from the world of art and culture are likely to participate.
