New Delhi, Sep 19 (ANI): After Narendra Modi was anointed as the BJP___s prime ministerial candidate by the party President Rajnath Singh, and was thereafter seen as a God for the party, JD (U) leader Ali Anwar said that BJP and RSS is trying to portray Modi as God, but he is nowhere near the 'Ashvamedha Yajna' horse, but is preparing for 'Narmegh Yagna'. Further, talking about Union Minister Jairam Ramesh's statement that Modi will continue to bring more like Muzaffarnagar clashes, Anwar said that Modi and BJP is always up for bringing communal division when elections are approaching.

Security analyst on Nuclear Liability Law Dilutions

New Delhi, Sep 19 (ANI): Security analyst Uday Bhaskar has said that the interpretation of the Nuclear Liability Bill (NLB) could perhaps be misleading. According to reports, a Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) note suggests that prior to his visit to the United States to attend this year's U.N. General Assembly session and to meet President Barack Obama on its sidelines, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh appears to be keen to have a diluted version of the NLB signed. The diluted NLB reportedly overlooks several key factors, including security concerns.

CPI questions govt's rush to dilute nuke liability bill

New Delhi, Sept 19 (ANI): Communist Party of India (CPI) leader Atul Kumar Anjan questioned the UPA Government's reported move to attempt a dilution of the Nuclear Liability Bill (NLB) to suit the needs of the US Government and American firms interested in taking bilateral nuclear commerce with India forward. Talking to mediapersons, he said that the bill is not in favour of the people of the country. According to reports, a Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) note suggests that prior to his visit to the United States to attend this year's UN General Assembly session and to meet President Barack Obama on its sidelines, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh appears to be keen to have a diluted version of the NLB signed. The diluted NLB reportedly overlooks several key factors, including security concerns. According to a television channel, the CCS note details plans to bypass the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC), a move that has raised questions.

SP govt handling Muzaffarnagar issue very casually: Naqvi

New Delhi, Sep 19 (ANI): As there is still no arrest in the Muzaffarnagar communal violence case, BJP Vice -President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the SP government is handling the situation very casually and that there is no seriousness from their part. Naqvi also said that SP is trying to save politicians and high dignitaries involved in the case. Talking about the UP ADG Arun Kumar who seeks transfer in the wake of these clashes, Naqvi said that the administration in the state are confused and disheartened by the way the political pressure is working there and so Kumar's reaction is natural.

BJP takes on Akhilesh, says UP is not in safe hands

Lucknow, Sept 19 (ANI): Slamming the Samajwadi party government over Muzaffarnagar clashes, Senior BJP leader Hukum Singh on Thursday said that Uttar Pradesh is not in safe hands. Talking to mediapersons he also called state chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav immature. Singh was however also named in the FIR on the Muzaffarnagar violence but the warrant for his arrest was not issued.

2 found dead in case of suspected honour killing in Haryana

Rohtak, Sep 19 (ANI): In a case of alleged honour killing in Rohtak city of Haryana, a boy was beheaded and a girl was killed and cremated after the two ran away together to New Delhi on Wednesday. The couple was allegedly killed by the girl's family. 23-year-old Dharmender and 20-year-old Nidhi, were from the Jat community and were residing in Gharnavati village in Kalanaur district of Rohtak and had gone missing after they left the village. The two were pursuing higher education in Rohtak and had reportedly decided to elope. Meanwhile, NCW chief Mamta Sharma condemned the incident and sought strict punishment against the culprits.

Government to ease taxation for IT sector

New Delhi, Sept 19 (ANI): In its draft proposal, the Revenue Department of Finance Ministry has proposed lessening of taxation burden for the IT sector so as to enable those engaged in this segment to safely harbour their profits. Revenue Secretary Sumit Bose stated this at a news conference in New Delhi. He said the government had issued a notification with an objective to curb the disputes related to transfer pricing by relaxing the prevailing norms. Further he said that the proposed norms, if finalized, would prevail for five fiscal years.
