New Delhi, Dec 07 (ANI): AAP leader Manish Sisodia on Saturday alleged that some BJP leaders tried to pursue the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party who refused any proposal whatsoever from their side. Further, talking about the Election Commission's notice to AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal over poll expenses, Sisodia said that the notice was issued not by the EC but Delhi SDM who have worked under Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. Tarun Tejpal's police custody extended by four days

New Delhi, Dec 07 (ANI): Tehelka's former editor in chief Tarun Tejpal who is accused of sexually assaulting a junior female colleague in Goa last month, was on Saturday sent to four more days of police custody by a Goa court. Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) of Panaji, had remanded him for six days in police custody last week.

Maanayata not ill and attending premiers; Commissioner be suspended for granting parole to Sanjay Du

Mumbai, Dec 07 (ANI): A day after Sanjay Dutt was granted parole for 30 days considering his wife Maanayata Dutt's illness, former IPS officer YP Singh said that Maanayata is not ill and that she is attending premiers and that the concerned commissioner who granted the parole should be put under suspension and an enquiry should be called over the same. Further, he said that there has to proper enquiry on the reasons of filing a parole request proving which is the way to get the same. Singh also said that a person once granted parole once can only have access to another one only after one year.

Experts hope for peace and tranquility in Bangladesh ahead of elections

Recently, the European parliament passed a resolution on Bangladesh, urging the parties to refrain from violence and conduct elections in a peaceful manner. Sanjay Dutt gets parole for wife's illness

Mumbai, Dec 07 (ANI): Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who is serving his sentence at Yerawada Central Jail in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case, has been granted a parole for 30 days to take care of wife Manyata, who is ill. If formalities are completed, he is likely to be released on Saturday. Reacting over this advocate Abha Singh said that she believes that Sanjay has been getting preferential treatment because of his celebrity status.

People protest against violence in poll-bound Bangladesh

Dhaka, Dec 07 (ANI): People of Bangladesh, including the freedom fighters of the Bangladesh Liberation War, protested against poll-related violence in the country. At least 25 people were killed across the country during nationwide protests called by opposition parties over setting up of a caretaker government during January polls. A veteran freedom fighter, Ali Ahmed Ziauddin, blamed both the main political parties - the opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and ruling Awami League - for the bloodshed in the country. President of the Communist Party of Bangladesh, Mujahidul Islam Selim, urged people to fight against the darkness prevailing in the country. The BNP-led agitation has virtually paralysed the country straight for the second week.
