New Delhi, Jan 20 (ANI): Speaking over Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's dharna near Rail Bhawan on Monday in protest of no action taken against Delhi cops for their negligence, Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said that when the LG has assured Kejriwal that judicial inquiry will be conducted then he must be patient. Shinde further said that Kejriwal is the CM of Delhi and therefore must be careful about the dignity of the post.

Further, he said that he will sit for as long as needed and that any constitutional crisis and problem at the spot will be centre, Home Ministry and PM’s responsibility. Kejriwal is protesting against the negligence in the performance of duty by the Delhi Police and is demanding the suspension of the concerned SHOs.

Bone chilling cold disrupts normal life in northern India

Kanpur/ Jammu, Jan 20 (ANI): Spell of intense cold wave continued to sweep large parts of northern India, paralysing normal life and disrupting rail traffic on Monday. People were seen sitting around bonfires on pavements to beat the cold. Delhi Police stops Kejriwal's car, dharna at Rail Bhawan

New Delhi, Jan 20 (ANI): The Delhi Police on Monday stopped Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's car near Rail Bhawan, while he was on his way to North Block to sit on a dharna, outside Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde's office. Kejriwal's demand is action against Delhi Police personnel for alleged negligence in performing their duty. Meanwhile, the party said that they will conduct dharna wherever they will be allowed to, be it Rail Bhawan. Police officials tried to persuade the chief minister not to proceed ahead.

BNP and Jamaat make Bangladesh 'unsafe' for minorities

Dhaka, Jan 20 : Poll-related unrest in Bangladesh shows no sign of easing. The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its Islamist allies, especially Jamaat-e-Islami, continue to hold the country to ransom. Activists of BNP targeted the minority Hindus and torched Chapotala and Malopara villages in Jassore. They attacked their houses and shops with crude weapons and sticks, displacing around 600 villagers. Attacks against minorities were also carried out in Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, Panchagarh and Gaibandha. The Hindus, under the aegis of Acharya Vivekananda Goswami International group, came out on the streets to raise their voice against the crimes committed by BNP and Jamaat activists.
