Rakhi Sawant thanks Uddhav, calls Kejriwal item boy

Mumbai, Jan 24 (ANI): Item girl Rakhi Sawant thanked Shiv Sena party president Uddhav Thackeray for his comment that Rakhi would have been a better administrator than Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Somanth Bhartis lawyer engages in heated argument with DCW chief

New Delhi, Jan 24 (ANI): Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti's lawyer and Delhi Commission for Women chief Barkha Singh Shukla had a heated argument on Friday as Bharti did not appear before the panel. Chaos prevailed at DCW’s office when Bharti sent his lawyer as his representative before the panel to reply over allegations of manhandling some Ugandan women by a group led by him during a midnight raid in South Delhi. Meanwhile, Shukla expressed her anger over the heated argument.

Birbhum gang-rape case: SC issues notice to WB government

Birbhum, Jan 24 (ANI): Taking suo moto cognizance of the Birbhum gang-rape case, the Supreme Court, describing the matter as "very disturbing", issued a notice to the West Bengal government on Friday. Chief Justice of India P Sathasivam also directed the Birbhum district magistrate to inquire into the matter and submit report in one week. Meanwhile, doctors treating the 20-year-old woman who was gang-raped by 13 men on the orders of a village court said that she is stable and recovering well even as state authorities assured cooperation. Meanwhile, chairman of the state level enquiry committee into the gang rape case, Ashok Sengupta, said that the reports have been sent for examination.

Gujarat NSUI protests against Salman Khans Jai Ho

Ahmedabad, Jan 24 (ANI): The student wing of Congress party, National Students' Union of India (NSUI) took to streets, shouting slogans and burning posters in Ahmedabad city of Gujarat, against Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s ‘Jai Ho’ which released Friday. A group of youths led by national secretary of NSUI, Shahnawaz Sheikh, burnt the photographs of Dabangg Khan and posters of his film to protest against the actor who met state Chief Minister Narendra Modi earlier to celebrate the International Kite Festival.

SC issues notice to Centre, Delhi govt over Kejriwal protest

New Delhi, Jan 24 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Friday issued a notice to the central government and the Delhi government on a PIL seeking action against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for violating the law while holding a constitutional position.
