Possibility of Third Front depends on LS results: Farooq Abdullah

Jammu, Feb 4 (ANI): Speaking over the possibility of a Third Front against the UPA and NDA, National Conference leader and New and Renewable Energy Minister Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday said that Third Front formation depends upon the results of the Lok Sabha polls when it would be known which party gets how many seats. Further speaking on him meeting DMK leader M Karunanidhi he said that he met Karunanidhi because of the friendship they share and no political discussion took place. He also added that as far as National Conference is concerned, they are not going to join NDA and J& K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has already made it clear. He also said that people of India will have to decide if they want a secular or communal Government.

New Delhi, Feb 04 (ANI): Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, was conferred with the country's highest civilian honour Bharat Ratna by President Pranab Mukherjee at a function held at the `Durbar Hall` of Rashtrapati Bahavan on Tuesday. A visibly delighted, Tendulakar dedicated this award to his mother and to all the mothers of India. He added that he would continue to bat for India, even though he has retired and will try his best to give the people of India a reason to smile. He also congratulated Prof CNR Rao for being awarded the Bharat Ratna.

Sachin Tendulkar, Prof CNR Rao awarded with Bharat Ratna

New Delhi, Feb 04 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee conferred India's highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna, on cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and eminent scientist CNR Rao at a function held at the `Durbar Hall` of Rashtrapati Bahavan on Tuesday. Tendulkar, who retired from international cricket on November 16 last year, is the first sportsman to be bestowed with the honour by the President. In a fitting finale to a record-breaking career spanning 24 years, Tendulkar, was chosen for the prestigious award, after his farewell 200th Test against the West Indies in Mumbai on November 16, 2013.

Nido Tania case: Home ministry taken issue seriously, enquiry ordered, says Ninong Ering

BJP criticizes AAPs protest against Arun Jaitley, calls it gimmick

AAP & BJP supporters face to face outside Arun Jaitleys residence

New Delhi, Feb 04 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party took the protest against BJP leader Arun Jaitley to his residence on Tuesday. India must spend 2 per cent GDP on science: Manmohan Singh

Jammu, Feb 04 (ANI): As he pitched for more funds to promote science, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that the country's annual expenditure on science and technology should be atleast two per cent of the GDP. Singh was addressing the Indian Science Congress for the tenth year in succession in Jammu where he said India needs to leverage the ability of modern science to deliver value to society. Former government advisor of Bangladesh analyses fateful 2014 elections

Dhaka, Feb 04 (ANI): Post the violent elections in Bangladesh conducted on January 05, the Executive Chairman of Power and Participation Research Centre (PPRC) and a former Advisor to the caretaker government of Bangladesh, Hossain Zillur Rahman, pinpointed the failures of the elections that were also shunned globally.
