United States, May 30 (ANI): Two Indian-origin boys have been crowned the co-winners of the Scripps National Spelling Bee. For the first time in 52 years, two spellers have been declared co-champions. Sriram Hathwar, 14, of Painted Post, New York, and Ansun Sujoe , 13, of Fort Worth, Texas, shared the title after they spelled a dozen words correctly in a row. Shutdown call by TDS hits normal life in Telangana

Andhra Pradesh, May 29 (ANI): Chief minister-elect of India's new state, Telangana, which will come into existence on June 02, K Chandrasekhar Rao, called for a shutdown on Thursday (May 29) to protest the move of the central government to issue an ordinance related to the merger of a few villages of Khammam district into Andhra Pradesh. The city wore a deserted look as shops and business establishments remained closed at many places, including Hyderabad. Bus services from Hyderabad to various destinations in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were also suspended.
