ATM attacked by unknown miscreants in Bangalore

Bangalore, July 12 (ANI): Despite so much of security in Bangalore, an ATM was attacked by unknown miscreants on Saturday. The ATM which lies under HSR Police Station limit was attacked after the miscreants tried to operate the machine. They later turned all lights off and tried to rob the ATM. The security guard on duty was badly injured after he tried to protest and stop the miscreants. Bangalore ACP Kamal Pant highlighted the entire incident and assured that the guard is out of danger.

Uttarakhand encourages Organic tea farming to boost business

Uttarakhand, July 12 (ANI): The Uttarakhand state encourages farmers to indulge with organic tea plantations in a bid to boost business in international markets. With the growing demand in organic products, Uttarakhand has initiated organic tea farming in the hill town of Nainital. This has given way to improve the sales of local businessmen. The organic tea is being exported to various countries including Japan and Korea. Recently, 218 hectare of land has been converted to organic plantations in Gorakhalal area in Nainital hills. The festival was aimed at promoting different varieties of mangoes. Mangoes of all shapes and sizes were displayed at this festival. The festival celebrates the grandeur of the 'King of Fruits'. Devotees throng temple in Mathura to celebrate Guru Purnima

Mathura, July 12 (ANI): Thousands of devotees thronged temple of Lord Krishna in holy city of Mathura on Saturday to offer special prayers to mark the festival of Guru Purnima, which is celebrated to honour the spiritual teachers. Chanting hymns and carrying religious offerings, believers made a beeline to pay respect to Lord Krishna. According to the Hindu mythology, the festival is celebrated to express gratitude towards one's Guru (spiritual teacher). According to Hindu beliefs, a guru holds an exalted position, even higher than that of the God. Hindus believe that one’s Guru is the only person who can guide them on the path towards Moksh (emancipation). Traditionally, Hindus walk around the idols of their god while praying and hope that their prayers would be rewarded.

Mumbai: Building collapses in Colaba; one dead
