Pak hands over captured jawan, BSF DG says no mishandling done

RS Pura, Aug 08 (ANI): After Pakistan handed over to India a BSF jawan who was captured by Pakistan Rangers, BSF Director General, DK Pathak assured that the jawan was treated well and no mishandling was done. He said that after trooper Satyasheel Yadav was swept away to Pakistan by strong currents of River Chenab, civilians and other people helped him across the border and also gave medical assistance to him. Pathak also said that the questions asked by the trooper were very common and usual. He also said that the jawan is fine and doing well.

Bhopal: Congress protests demanding increase in pension for old people

Bhopal, Aug 08 (ANI): Party workers of Congress staged a protest against the government of Madhya Pradesh on Friday as they demanded rise in pension for the old people. Thousands of widows and old people, along with Congress party workers, held flags and shouted slogans as they encircled the residence of state chief, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, in Bhopal. The protesters also presented a memorandum to Sub Divisional Magistrate asking an increase in the pension. Meanwhile, Congress leader Taslim Wahida Lashkari said the pension for poor people should be raised to rupees 1000 and the 400,000 people made ineligible should be made eligible.

Pak hands over captured BSF jawan to India

RS Pura, Aug 08 (ANI): A Border Security Force jawan, who was swept away into Pakistan by the strong currents of the Chenab River and picked up by Pakistan Rangers was on Friday handed to India at a border crossing point in Jammu. BSF jawan Satyasheel Yadav, was handed over to his battalion commander Varesh Singh. The trooper was carried by the river current to Bajwaat village in Sialkot area of Pakistan.
