"I would like to extend my congratulations for keeping the country's flag flying high. My best wishes to you for all future endeavours." Jitu Rai has won gold medal in the men's 50-metre air pistol event and Shweta Chaudhry bagged bronze in the women's 10-metre air pistol event in the ongoing 17th Asian Games at Incheon in South Korea.

Karan Johar turns fashion designer for Vero Moda

Mumbai, Sep 20 (ANI): Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar took his love for designing a step further as he launched his collection titled Marquee in collaboration with a popular foreign brand in showbiz capital Mumbai. Johar collaborated with Denmark-based fashion brand Vero Moda for his exclusive and lavish women wear collection, which was unveiled at a fashion show at Mehboob Studio in Mumbai. Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon Thadani, who was seen at the event with her husband Anil Thadani, a film distributor, was all praise for Johar and expressed happiness at this collaboration. MoU signed on Nalanda University between India and Bangladesh: MEA

New Delhi, Sep 20 (ANI): MEA Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin on Saturday said that the meeting between Foreign Ministers of India and Bangladesh was productive and close relations were reflected between both the countries. He also said that an MoU was signed between India and Bangladesh over Nalanda University. He also said that both countries’ Prime Ministers will be meeting on margins of UN General Assembly meeting in New York. Responding to Bilawal Bhutto’s remark, Akbaruddin said that India is looking forward but that does not mean our borders will change. He also stated that India’s integrity and unity is non-negotiable.

Responsible tourism in Kerala connects tourists to villages.

Kochi, Sep 20 (ANI): Kerala is giving a chance to tourists to connect to villages and visit them to know more about tradition and food. The tourism department, which markets Kerala as ‘God’s own country’ has come up with Responsible Tourism (RT), to let tourists have a hands on experience. The initiative focuses on attracting tourists to the villages, where they can see activities like weaving, pottery, making items out of coconut and also enjoy authentic Kerala cuisine. As per the state government in Kerala, RT will help in reviving age old traditional handicrafts and attract youth to follow the same. Tourists flocked villages and get elated to see women weaving with coconut leaves. Meanwhile state coordinator, responsible tourism, Bhupesh Kumar, said that tourists can avail packages and see tribal archery, net fishing, etc.

Sashastra Seema Bal, ITC & SRM University donates to PM National Relief Fund for J&K flood victims

New Delhi, Sep 20 (ANI): ITC Chairman YC Deveshwar on Saturday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and donated Rs.10 crore towards the Prime Minister`s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the flood-affected people of Jammu and Kashmir. Sashastra Seema Bal Director General BD Sharma also handed over demand draft of Rs.2.12 crore on behalf of the force for rehabilitation of the flood victims. Meanwhile, the founder chancellor of Chennai`s SRM University, TR Pachamuthu, donated Rs.1 crore for the PMNRF. Prime Minister Modi had recently appealed to the people to donate generously to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund, for the flood-affected people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Politicos slam Bilawal Bhutto for his statement over Kashmir

Clash between police and locals in Moradabad after alleged extortion of money by police

Moradabad, Sep 20 (ANI): A violent clash took place between police and locals in Moradabad city of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.
