Suspended India and Pakistan border ceremony resumes

Wagah Border, Nov 4 (ANI): India and Pakistan on Tuesday resumed daily flag-lowering ceremony on the main land border crossing, a day after it was suspended as mark of respect for those killed in a suicide bomb attack on the Pakistan side near the border. At least 57 people were killed and 110 wounded when an explosion ripped through a car park about 500 metres (yards) from Pakistan's border gate just as hundreds of people were leaving after the daily performance on Sunday. In this backdrop, Ministry of Home Affairs had said the daily flag-lowering ceremony would be suspended as a mark of respect for the dead. However, later Pakistani officials changed their stance and decided to go ahead with the ritual to send a message to the militants. Nov 4, 2014
