Arunachal hosts festival to promote adventure tourism

Aruncahal Pradesh, Dec 5 (ANI): Mechuka in West Siang district of Aruncahal Pradesh is one of the most picturesque destinations in the Northeast. Efforts are high to make it a popular destination for adventurers. Recently, the second edition of adventure festival 'Mechuka 2014', was held with participation from tourists from across the country. The three-day mega event featured various adventurous activities like trap shooting, mountain biking, para gliding, rappelling, archery, rafting and kayaking. Besides adventure and sports activities, cultural performances of various communities mesmerized the visitors. Ethnic cuisine, handicrafts and traditional attire were also displayed. Dec 6, 2014
