Huge cache of explosives recovered in Assam

Assam, Dec 7 (ANI): India's paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel recovered a huge quantity of explosives from Bokajan town in Assam. The explosives, including 86 packets of gelatin sticks, 30 packets of detonators, and 286 metres of cable wires, were seized from a bus which was coming from Shillong and was heading to Dimapur. The CRPF has arrested the two drivers of the buses and will conduct the further investigation to find out whether any militant outfit was indulged. Guwahati, Dec 7 (ANI): Assam police arrested a key suspect behind a blast in West Bengal who is also believed to have been involved in a plot to assassinate Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina and stage a coup there. Shahnor Alom, who was arrested in a village in Assam, is an operative of a banned Bangladeshi group active in West Bengal, a senior intelligence officer said. According to a police officer, he was caught hiding in his relative's house in a village in Nalbari district of Assam.
