People working in poor psychosocial environment at greater heart problem risk

New Delhi, Feb 5 (ANI): A new study has demonstrated that employees experience highly demanding requirements if they are in a poor psychosocially work environment and therefore, they are likelier to suffer from heart problems. The study showed that employees working in psychosocially poor work environment have little ability to control their work or not feel sufficiently appreciated for the contributions they make.According to the study, men who do not have heart problems but who experience poor psychosocial work conditions often have warning signs for coronary artery disease, such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol values.

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius meets Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi, Feb 05 (ANI): French Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development Laurent Fabius met External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj to discuss issues of mutual interest on Thursday. Fabius has been accompanied by a delegation of fellow dignitaries during his visit to India. Fabius is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, amidst indications that France is waiting for complete information on the Indo-US nuclear deal. Meanwhile, French Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy Segolene Royal, who is also part of the delegation visiting India, shall participate in The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) Delhi Sustainable Development Summit.

Home Secretary LC Goyal meets Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, Feb 05 (ANI): The newly-appointed Home Secretary LC Goyal met Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday. Earlier in the day, Goyal replaced Anil Goswami as the new Home Secretary following a controversy over the arrest of a former union minister in connection with the Saradha chit-fund scam. Goswami was earlier on Wednesday was sacked from his post for allegedly interfering with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) over the arrest of Matang Sinh in connection with the Saradha scam. Goyal, a 1979-batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre, earlier held the charge of Secretary in the Ministry of Rural Development.

India, Bangladesh sign treaty to curb cross-border crime

Agartala, Feb 05 (ANI): India and Bangladesh officials signed an agreement on real-time information sharing to curb cross-border crime at the two-day district-level border conference in Tripura. A wide range of issues like smuggling, trans-border crime, insurgent movement, narcotics, human trafficking, and cattle lifting were discussed between officials of the countries. Similar conferences would also be held in Assam and Meghalaya in the coming days to sort out border issues.

Dera Sacha Sauda extends support to BJP ahead of Delhi polls

New Delhi, Feb 05 (ANI): The Dera Sacha Sauda sect, headed by controversial spiritual leader Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, on Thursday pledged its support to the BJP in the Delhi Assembly polls. Based in Sirsa in Haryana, the Dera is believed to have over 20 lakh followers in Delhi. As per reports, the Dera will organise door-to-door campaign in Delhi to gather support for the BJP. New Delhi, Feb 05 (ANI): As the campaigning for the Delhi Assembly elections ends this evening, BJP, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party are making all out efforts to convince people to vote for their candidates by making promises. Matang Sinh arrest row: LC Goyal replaces Anil Goswami as Home Secretary

New Delhi, Feb 05 (ANI): LC Goyal has replaced Anil Goswami as the new Union Home Secretary, following a controversy over arrest of former Union Minister involved in Saradha chit fund scam. Anil Goswami, earlier on Wednesday, was sacked for allegedly interfering with the Central Bureau of Investigation over the arrest by the agency of Saradha Scam accused Matang Sinh. According to reports, Goswami had earlier in the day been summoned by the Prime Minister's Office over the issue and was invited to put forth his version. Goswami, a 1978 IAS officer, was due to retire in July after serving a two-year tenure and was the first bureaucrat from Jammu and Kashmir to rise to the post of Home Secretary.
