BJP says 'AAP making allegations in nervousness' after EC dismisses Kejriwal's apprehensions on EVM

New Delhi, Feb 05 (ANI): BJP on Thursday react and said that 'AAP is making allegations in nervousness' of getting defeated in Delhi Assembly polls after Election Commission dismissed Arvind Kejriwal's apprehensions on EVM tampering. The poll panel on Wednesday night rejected Kejriwal's claim that electronic voting machines (EVMs) can be tampered to favour BJP in the Delhi Assembly polls. The EC said such allegations are "totally incorrect and unacceptable". Kejriwal had claimed on Tuesday that discrepancies were found during a check of four such machines at Delhi Cantonment area. He had alleged that pressing of any button on the machines, the light against the BJP symbol lit up.

People working in poor psychosocial environment at greater heart problem risk

New Delhi, Feb 5 (ANI): A new study has demonstrated that employees experience highly demanding requirements if they are in a poor psychosocially work environment and therefore, they are likelier to suffer from heart problems. The study showed that employees working in psychosocially poor work environment have little ability to control their work or not feel sufficiently appreciated for the contributions they make.According to the study, men who do not have heart problems but who experience poor psychosocial work conditions often have warning signs for coronary artery disease, such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol values.

Home Secretary LC Goyal meets Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, Feb 05 (ANI): The newly-appointed Home Secretary LC Goyal met Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday. Earlier in the day, Goyal replaced Anil Goswami as the new Home Secretary following a controversy over the arrest of a former union minister in connection with the Saradha chit-fund scam. Goswami was earlier on Wednesday was sacked from his post for allegedly interfering with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) over the arrest of Matang Sinh in connection with the Saradha scam. Goyal, a 1979-batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre, earlier held the charge of Secretary in the Ministry of Rural Development.

India, Bangladesh sign treaty to curb cross-border crime

Agartala, Feb 05 (ANI): India and Bangladesh officials signed an agreement on real-time information sharing to curb cross-border crime at the two-day district-level border conference in Tripura. A wide range of issues like smuggling, trans-border crime, insurgent movement, narcotics, human trafficking, and cattle lifting were discussed between officials of the countries. Delhi Elections: Campaign enters last leg
