New Delhi, Dec 29 (ANI): Islamabad Court has suspended the detention of 26/11 Mumbai attacks accused Zaki ur Rehman Lakhvi, reportedly granting him bail. This has invited political reactions questioning the aim of Pakistan to fight against terror. BJP leaders Sambit Patra and GVL Narasimha Rao said that even after the recent Peshawar attack Pak government has not learnt a lesson. JD (U) Chief Sharad Yadav said that Pakistan cannot carry out any proceedings against the terrorists as it is always under the pressure of militant outfits. Experts react over Lakhvi's detention suspended by Pak Court

New Delhi, Dec 29 (ANI): Security Experts on Monday reacted over suspension of Zaki ur Rehman Lakhvi's detention by Islamabad Court. Alok Bansal said that Pakistan has failed to show that it is against terror. Praful Bakshi said that it was a ruling given by the Court so it cannot be questioned but added that the Indian government needs to take all precautionary measures in context of terror activities. New Delhi, Dec 29 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh condemned the low intensity blast that took place in Bengaluru last night. Singh asked state authorities to install closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras in the entire city in the wake of the blast. Finance Minister Jaitley rejects Raghuram Rajan's criticism of 'Make in India'

New Delhi, Dec 29 (ANI): Rejecting Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Raghuram Rajan's criticism on 'Make in India' programme, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday said that it is about manufacturing of quality products at low cost, whether they are sold in India or abroad. The minister in his inaugural address of a national workshop on 'Make in India' further said manufacturing remains a challenge for country's economy and cost of capital has been the major factor behind slowed down manufacturing. Emphasizing on manufacturing of quality products at low costs, Jaitley said it was not relevant whether they are sold in India or abroad. Chalking out the ways to open up the roads for manufacturers, Jaitley said the entry point into manufacturing sector needs to be eased and that if we keep doors closed, investments won't come in. There should be an ease of doing business in India. Earlier this month, RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan had criticised 'Make in India' campaign, saying it assumes an export-led growth path of China and it should rather be 'Make for India' with a focus on manufacturing products for the domestic market. Bengaluru/ New Delhi/ Mumbai/ Pune, Dec 29 (ANI): Police on Monday while carrying out a search operation obtained a suspected material from the blast site in Bengaluru. The low intensity IED (Improvised Explosive Device) bomb had exploded on Church Street in Bengaluru killing one and leaving three injured.The blast had occurred around 8:30 pm outside Coconut Grove restaurant on Church Street. Civil Defence Commandant PR Chetan said that Bomb Squad is assisting the city police in every possible way.The victims were walking past the restaurant when the bomb went off.Meanwhile, red alert sounded in Pune, Mumbai and the national capital following the blast in Bengaluru. Indonesia search and rescue officials fear Missing AirAsia flight QZ8501 to be 'at bottom of sea'

Belitung, Dec 29 (ANI): Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency (BASARNAS) on Monday continued to look for a missing AirAsia plane carrying 162 passengers that went missing the previous day. An official said that the plane could be at the bottom of the sea after it was presumed to have crashed off the Indonesian coast, as countries around Asia sent ships and planes to help in the search effort. BASARNAS deployed seven rescue boats and three helicopters in the Karimata Strait and west of Belitung Island to support the search mission for the missing flight QZ 8501, but high waves and winds hampered the operation. The Indonesia AirAsia plane, an Airbus A320-200, disappeared after its pilot failed to get permission to fly higher to avoid bad weather during a flight from the Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore on Sunday. IIT-Delhi Director resigned because he was unmasked: Subramanian Swamy

New Delhi, Dec 29 (ANI): BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Monday alleged that the reason behind resignation by IIT-Delhi director Raghunath K Shevgaonkar more than two years before the end of his term, is because he was unmasked. He said that Shevgaonkar was appointed by UPA government and was caught for failing to inform the government of India of opening a branch of IIT in Mauritius. Swamy also alleged that the IIT Delhi director had violated code of conduct and IIT statutes and later tried to play the victim. Further, he also said that the order of his termination was held null and void and therefore his demand of his due salaries was not uncalled for. Yesterday, the Ministry of Human Resource Development had denied involvement over the resignation tendered by Shevgaonkar, adding that media reports to the contrary were 'factually inaccurate and incorrect'.
