New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): BJP's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi filed nomination papers from Krishna Nagar constituency on Wednesday. Bedi was accompanied by BJP's Delhi unit chief Satish Upadhyay. Earlier in the day, Bedi had held a roadshow and paid tribute to Lala Lajpat Rai in Krishna Nagar constituency. Chandigarh, Jan 21 (ANI): The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday stayed the implementation of transfer orders of Enforcement Directorate (ED) Assistant Director Niranjan Singh who is probing 4000 crore synthetic drug racket case. The decision was taken on the public interest litigation (PIL) filed by Lawyer Navikiran Singh. The next hearing of the case is scheduled on February 2. One month after the gruesome attack on the army public school in Peshawar, the school reopened, the candle light vigils were held and a tough message was sent to militants and its backers within the State of Pakistan. Activists, campaigners and members of the civil society gathered in several cities across Pakistan on Friday (January 16) to mark one month since the deadly attack by Taliban gunmen on the Army Public School (APS) in Peshawar in which over 140 people, including 134 children, were systematically gunned down. In Islamabad, several parliamentarians came out to join a vigil outside Parliament House. In Lahore, around two hundred citizens lit candles in memory of those killed in the school attack. Japan provides human resource training in nuclear power generation

Hanoi/ Japan, Jan 20 (ANI): In order to meet the rapid growth in electricity demand driven by a growing economy and expanding industrial base, Vietnam has decided to introduce nuclear energy. A developing country with a population of 92.5 million, Vietnam has selected Japan as its partner. The government issued a master plan specifying the project of building nuclear power plants, as the first time in Vietnam and South East Asia. Electric Power University (EPU) in Hanoi, is one of the six universities in Vietnam that are authorized to provide human resource training in nuclear power generation. The University has opened the Department of Nuclear Power in 2010 where students are learning basic knowledge required for nuclear power generation. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is one of the first partners which effectively cooperates and supports Electric Power University and provide nuclear engineering lecture. Recently, "Cool Japan lounge" exhibition was held at AEON Mall Binh Duon Canary in Vietnam by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, as a part of "Cool Japan World Trial" initiatives. New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju has asked Pakistan to handover 2008 Mumbai attacks mastermind Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi to New Delhi, as has also been advised by the United States of America and the United Kingdom to do so. A section of media had reported earlier that the US and the UK have asked Pakistan to either hand over Lakhvi to India to improve bilateral ties or to conduct a credible and independent trial. Three storey building collapses in New Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): A three-storied building collapsed in Gautampuri locality in New Delhi in wee hours of Wednesday (January 21). However, no casualties have been reported so far. Deputy Commandant of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Asim Ul Haque, said that cracks had started showing in the building due to construction of another building behind it. He also said that clearing operations on the ground floor was underway and no casualties were expected from there as well. Ten fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
