South Indian film industry is gearing up to treat the movie-goers across the globe with three most-awaited fantasy films "Baahubali", "Puli" and "Rudhrama Devi."

Baahubali

Among the three, "Baahubali" is the most-talked-about film, which is released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. Made on a whopping budget of ₹200 crore, the SS Rajamouli directorial is being released in two parts. The first part, which has been titled "Baahubali - The Beginning", is slated for release in over 4,000 screens across the globe on 10 July.

Written by V Vijayendra Prasad, "Baahubali" is an epic film. The story is about a powerful king, who is killed by his power-greedy stepbrother. How the king's son avenges his father's death forms the crux of the story. (Click here to read detailed story)

The film features an ensemble cast consisting of Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nassar, Adivi Sesh, Tanikella Bharani and Sudeep.

"Baahubali" has been in production for over two-and-a-half years. On one hand, India's biggest motion picture boasts of an interesting story and striking performances from talented actors. On the other, it has world-renowned technicians working on its production values, which shows Hollywood standards.

Rudhramadevi

Written, directed and produced by Gunasekhar, Rudhramadevi is Indian's first 3D historic film, which is simultaneously made in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. Made on a budget of ₹70 crore, the movie has a fantastic technical team. It boasts of Ilaiyaraaja's music, Thotta Tharani's art direction and Neeta Lulla's costume design. "Rudhramadevi" is about a 13th-century queen of Kakatiya dynasty, played by Anushka Shetty. A host of popular actors such as Allu Arjun, Krishnam Raju, Rana Daggubati, Vikramjeet Virk, Prakash Raj, Adithya Menon, Nithya Menon, Baba Sehgal and Catherine Tresa are seen in important roles. The film is slated for release in theatres across the globe in August 2015.

Puli

Written and directed by Chimbu Deven, "Puli" is an action-adventure fantasy film, which is also a revenge drama. Set in the ancient period, the movie is about a powerful warrior, who is killed by a jealous prince. How he takes re-birth in the modern age and avenges his death will form the crux of the story. Ilayathalapathy Vijay is seen playing in a dual role alongside an ensemble cast including Sudeep, Prabhu, Sridevi, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani and Nandita in "Puli". The movie is made on a whopping budget of over ₹118 crore and its teaser shows that it has amazing production elements. 

"Baahubali", "Rudhramadevi" and "Puli" are fantasy films made on par with Hollywood standards. All of them have been made with whopping budgets and boast of huge cast and crew.

The promos of all the three films have created a lot of curiosity among the film-goers. These movies are going to be a grand treat for not only South Indian audience, but also viewers across the globe. Trade experts opine that these projects will definitely take Southern Industry to International level and grab the attention of Hollywood film-makers and critics.
