The Chennai police on Sunday reportedly arrested an employee of a mixing studio on charge of leaking the first look teaser of Vijay's upcoming film "Puli" online.

A picture of the accused - Mithun from Four Frames Mixing Studio - being taken into custody by the police was in circulation on the Internet and social media.

The makers of "Puli" had planned to release the teaser on Sunday midnight as a birthday gift to Vijay, who turns 41 on Monday. However, Mithun allegedly released the clip on the Internet on Saturday night, a day before its official release. The teaser, which was secretly filmed at the mixing studio, got circulated very fast on WhatsApp and other social networking sites.

"Puli" is directed by Chimbu Deven and produced by Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar. The makers of the big budget film had tried their best not to allow the leak of its pictures, videos and other details. They were badly upset over the alleged leak of the teaser and filed a complaint with the Chennai police on Sunday morning and requested them for speedy action.

Soon after receiving the complaint, the police started investigating the case and were successful in nabbing the suspect by the evening. Some reports suggested that the police were interrogating Mithun in their custody. They were expected to reveal more details about the case late in the evening.

"Puli" is an action-adventure fantasy film featuring an ensemble cast, including Vijay, Prabhu, Sridevi, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani, Nandita and Sudeep. Following its alleged leak online, the makers were forced to unleash its teaser online before its scheduled time. The 55-second video has received a good response from both the critics and the fans.
