At least six people were wounded when a gunman opened fire at a sports bar in New Jersey, USA, on 2 December. Comedian Toni Bryd was about five minutes into her stand up routine when bullets rang out into a room with about 30-40 people in it. Women dressed as bloodied and bandaged brides protested in front of the Lebanese government headquarters on 6 December. They were calling for the abolition of a law that allows rapists to marry their victims in order to escape sentencing, known as Article 522.
