The protest came after the officials of Sri Lankan government defence ministry published an article ‘how meaningful are Jayalalithaa's love letters to Narendra Modi'. Protesters carried black flags, shouted slogans and stepped on Rajapakse's photograph, showing anger against the neighbouring nation. Patna, Aug 03 (ANI): As a flood like situation arose in Bihar with the increase in water level in the River Kosi, state Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary said that all safety measures are undertaken. Chaudhary also said that the Nepal government is ready to help in whatever way they can to free the flow of water. Nainital, Aug 03 (ANI): In a bid to empower women and make them independent, a state-run tea garden of Uttarakhand decided to raise women workforce in its tea gardens. The tea garden of Uttarakhand government in Ghorakhal region of Nainital district, employes mostly women, who do most of the work in the gardens, from plucking tea leaves, cutting branches to processing them in factory. A female worker, Jeewanti Devi, said salaries are given on time and they do not face any problems. There are 180 women employed in the government run plantations in the district.
