BSE closes points 44.45 down on June 19

New Delhi, June 19 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 44.45 points down to stand at 25,201.80. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 17.50 points down to stand at 7,540.70. Bharat Electronics ltd. and Max India were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 6.83% and 5.58% along with Colgate Palmolive and UPL with an increase of 3.59% and 3.20% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include United Spirits and Oil India with a decrease of 8.12% and 6.54% along with ONGC and BPCL with a decrease of 5.12% and 4.76% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 49.77 points at 15,015.57 while the banking sector is down 159.04 points at 17,264.97 and the realty sector is down 7.12 points at 1,996.28. Mumbai, June 19 (ANI): Actor-singer Sophie Chaudhary in collaboration with popular musician Raghav Sachar has reprised one of bollywood's most romantic numbers by Asha Bhosle 'Raat Akeli Hai'for her next performance in the seventh season of celebrity dance show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa'. Speaking to media persons in Mumbai, Sophie said. Actually when we were thinking which song should we do, Raghav said let's do Raat Akeli Hai. So I was a little scared because I think it's a difficult song. Not only because it's Asha ji's song and I have sung her songs before and she is tough to copy and emulate and you need to sing it in your own style. But the range is from high to low. Also since I have never done such kind of song before and I want people to see that Sophie can sing in many different genres.While Raghav spoke about why did they choose this song. The duo has re-created all the sounds, including the percussion with their own voice. Railway Minister holds pre budget meeting to discuss fare hike and FDI

New Delhi, June 19 (ANI): Railway Minister Sadanand Gowda held a meeting with officials in New Delhi to discuss about fare hike and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in railways. Indian organization provides prosthetic limbs to amputees in Afghanistan

Kabul, June 19 (ANI): An Indian organisation gave amputees in Afghanistan a new lease of life by providing them with prosthetic limbs free of charge at a month-long camp in Kabul. A team of 25 artisans from Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS) - non-government organisation (NGO) that designs and distributes prosthetic limbs free of charge - provided the victims of landmines and other war-related atrocities with the prosthetic limbs, which is popularly known as the Jaipur foot.
