Nintendo's new augmented-reality game — "Pokémon Go" — has taken the world by storm. Within a week of its release, it has surpassed Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites in terms of active users and average in-app purchases made in a day by any application.

And Pokémon Go has smashed all these records despite it being available only in New Zealand, Australia and the United States.
The mobile game fans, who are not in the aforementioned regions, can still install Pokémon Go on Apple iPhones and Android handsets via APK file.

How to install Pokemon GO on Android smartphones:
Before proceeding to the installation, make sure to tweak settings in the device to allow installation of APK file.
Go to Settings >> Security>> Tap Unknown sources. A message pops up saying—"Your Phone and personal data are more vulnerable to attack by apps from unknown sources. You agree that you are solely responsible for any damage to your phone or loss of data that may result from using these apps" and press OK.
Then, download the PokeMon Go APK file (HERE or HERE) via smartphone. A warning message will pop up again, press OK and commence the installation.
Once done, please make sure to change the region to Australia (or U.S.A./New Zealand) and you will be able to play Pokémon GO without any hassles.

How to install Pokémon Go on Apple iPhones:
Installing Pokémon GO on iPhones is bit different as compared to Android devices, as Apple is very stringent in terms of security. However, some tech savy fans found a way to trick the Apple's firewall protection system to allow downloading of the applications from a third-party app store.

Here's how:
Step 1: Go to Settings>> sign out from your Apple ID
Step 2: Go to the App Store and click on a free app or game
Step 3: You will be prompted to sign in, at this point click to create a new ID.
Step 4: Fill out the information, but fill out the address having pin/zip codes from any of the official regions (New Zealand/Australia/ U.S.A.).
Step 5: Confirm your new Apple ID via email
Step 6: Go to App Store, search Pokémon Go. Click on it, then choose to swap to the chosen region's App Store
[Note: Once the Pokémon Go is released in your region, users have to re-install the game again, but the good news is that progress you have made in the game is saved in the Cloud storage. So you can start where you left off]
