Despite having a busy schedule, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan recently found time to watch the latest action thriller of superstar Mohanlal. The minister watched Vysakh directorial Pulimurugan at AriesPlex SL Cinemas in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday, October 23.
The CM, who watched the action thriller along with his wife Kamala, is all praise for the Mohanlal-starrer. "It's a good movie, it was a complete entertainer," Pinarayi told reporters who were at the theatre to find the response of the minister on the superstar movie.
Director B Unnikrishnan Pillai, who is the managing director of the theatre, welcomed the CM and shared the photos of Pinarayi through his Facebook page. "When respected Chief Minister watched Pulimurugan in Ariesplex. He liked the movie and even called Mohanlal [translated from Malayalam]," the director wrote.
The big-budget movie, in which Mohanlal plays the role of a wild hunter, has been garnering tremendous response with fabulous collection from worldwide box office.
The movie, bankrolled by Tomichan Mulakupaadam, is all set to become the biggest grossing Malayalam movie by breaking many existing records. The action thriller, which is already in the top fourth position at the Kerala box office, is expected to cross the collection records of Drishyam, Ennu Ninte Moideen and Premam in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Pulimurugan, released on October 7 pitting against Mammootty's Thoppil Joppan, has already crossed Rs 2 crore million mark from the collection it from multiplexes in Kochi within 17 days of theatrical run.
