Violent 3-D Games Increase Anger In Players

New Delhi, Dec 03 (AN) : A new study has found that playing violent 3D games can increase the anger level in video game players. Those who play violently may show higher levels of anger than nonviolent players no matter how they played 2-D or 3-D. But those who play violently on 3-D are significantly angrier than those who play violently on the 2-D systems.People who play in 3-D are more immersed in the game than the ones who play in 2-D, and that immersion can be related to the increased anger felt by those who played violently.

Public sector bank relay strike hits northern India

Lucknow/Chandigarh, Dec 3 (ANI): Public sector banks employees in northern India went on a strike on Wednesday to demand wage revision, which caused inconvenience to people. The employees began their four-day relay strike with staff in southern region going off from work on Tuesday. The finance ministry also asked banks to ensure operation of clearing houses, continuation of Internet banking, and make arrangements for carrying out uninterrupted government business transactions. Shutters were down at all the banks as public sector bank employees staged protest march on the streets in Chandigarh holding banners and placards and shouting slogans.

TMC protests against hike in fuel excise duty

New Delhi, Dec 3 (ANI): Leaders of Trinamool Congress (TMC) party, on Wednesday (December 03), staged a protest outside parliament against a hike in excise duty of petrol and diesel. India on Tuesday (December 02) raised excise duties on petrol by 2.25 rupees per litre and on diesel by one rupee per litre with immediate effect, the finance ministry said in a statement to parliament. The increases, which follow similar hikes in mid-November, seek to take advantage of a slump in world oil prices to shore up government revenues without stoking inflation. A source familiar with the matter said the latest measures were expected to raise an additional 40 billion rupees in the remainder of the fiscal year to the end of March 2015. Meanwhile, TMC staged protest against the hike, saying the Indian consumers could not avail of advantage of global slump in fuel prices.

She added that development process has got a new momentum. Meanwhile, Swaraj said Modi's speech in Hindi at the United Nations General Assembly was a matter of great pride. Swaraj further stated that Modi is the second prime minister to visit Fiji after former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1981, despite the fact that Indians make up 40 percent of the Fiji's population.

Request Opposition to let Parliament run, no question of Sadhvi's resignation: Venkaiah Naidu

New Delhi, Dec 03 (ANI): Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday requested the Opposition parties to maintain calm and let Parliament run. Naidu said that the Congress and TMC parties are trying to adjourn the houses and not letting main issues come to discussion which is not in the benefit of the country. Further, talking about the opposition’s demand for Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti's resignation, using the example of Congress leader Beni Prasad Verma who used indecent language against many leaders, Naidu said that there is no question of the Minister's resignation as she has tendered an apology for her statement.

New Delhi, Dec 03 (ANI): Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office Dr Jitendra Singh on Wednesday that the verdict on the link of Saradha scam money being transferred to Bangladesh through Burdwan has not yet been finalized and the matter is still under investigation. Singh said that the statement made by Amit Shah during his rally in West Bengal cannot be stated completely wrong as the investigation is underway.
