Haryana doesnt need Gujarat model, has proved itself as state: Rahul Gandhi

Sirsa, April 06 (ANI): While addressing a rally in Sirsa district of Haryana on Sunday, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi said that Haryana has proved itself as a state and that it doesn’t need Gujarat model for development. He said that Haryana can work with ‘Haryana model’ and likewise every other state can work in its own different way. Furtehr, Gandhi said that the ‘balloon of Gujarat Model’ will burst after the 2014 polls. He also slammed the BJP for not releasing its manifesto yet.

BAAP workers protest against Kejriwal

New Delhi, April 6 (ANI): BJP’s BAAP workers protested against AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Sunday. Holding placards, the protesters shouted slogans against Kejriwal and also burnt his effigy at the spot. Earlier, AAP expelled its founder member Ashwini Upadhyay for his ‘anti-party activities’ which the BJP termed as ‘dictatorship’ by the party.

BJP lashes out at AAP over expulsion of Ashwini Upadhyay

New Delhi, April 06 (ANI): After Aam Aadmi Party expelled its founding member Ashwini Upadhyay for his ‘anti-party activities’ on Sunday, BJP condemned the action and said that this is nothing new for the party. Shyam Jaju said that many leaders diverted their way from the party and hitting out at Arvind Kejriwal, said that the person who cannot give justice to his associates, how will he do the same to the people of the country. Further, party leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra said that this is not surprising and that there is dictatorship in the party.

Nobody considers Manmohan Singh as Congress leader: Narendra Modi

Bijnor, April 6 (ANI): BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi while addressing a rally in Bijnor on Sunday said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is never termed as the leader of Congress Party by any party member. He also slammed the Congress' 'Shehzada' saying that if it took 60 years for Congress to prepare the infrastructure map then it will take him another 600 years to execute it. Modi then called himself a social worker and appealed to the public to give him 60 months and allow him to serve them.

Bollywood stars shine at red carpet of Miss India 2014

Mumbai, April 06 (ANI): Bollywood stars and celebrities sizzled on the red carpet of beauty pageant 'Miss India 2014' in India's entertainment capital Mumbai in western Maharashtra province. The contestants for 51st edition of Miss India were judged by a panel of actors Abhay Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Vidyut Jamwal, Aditi Rao Hydari, Malaika Arora Khan, renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra, boxer Vijender Singh, rapper and singer Honey Singh and Miss World 2013 Megan Young. Former beauty queen and veteran Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman also graced the occasion. Miss India 2013 winners including Navneet Kaur Dhillon also attended the beauty pageant to handover the titles to this year’s winners. Miss India is an annual national beauty pageant that selects representatives to compete globally and is organized by women's magazine Femina.

Modi attacks Congress in Bijnor rally

Bijnor, April 6 (ANI): BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed a rally in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh where he slammed the Congress Party for the ill-governance in the last decade. Modi addressed the farmers and said that the sugarcane farmers do not get proper revenue for their product. Bukhari brothers involve in 'war of words' over Sonia-Imam meet, Politicos react

New Delhi, April 06 (ANI): Politicos reacted in different ways after Syed Ahmed Bukhari's brother Yahya Bukhari attacked Imam's decision to endorse Congress party. BJP Vice-President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the party doesn't want to involve in matters of Bukhari brothers and that Congress and its associated parties are all connected with riots. Mulayam visits Muzaffarnagar ahead of polls, says sufficient compensation provided to riot victims
