Rahul Gandhi meets family members of Bilaspur sterilization camp victims

Bilaspur, Nov 15 (ANI): Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday met the family members of the victims who lost their lives in a sterilization camp in Bilaspur district. More than a dozen women died in Chhattisgarh after 83 women were sterilized at a government-run family planning camp. Gandhi said that the state government and the Health Ministry should take the entire responsibility of the incident.

Reactions flow as Kunal Ghosh says guilty must be punished

New Delhi/ Kolkata, Nov 15 (ANI): Political leaders reacted on Saturday on suspended TMC MP Kunal Ghosh's statement who tried to attempt suicide. Congress leader PC Chacko said that thorough investigation should be done in the case and the entire scam should be revealed. BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh said that the CBI should investigate the matter as to how the medicine reached to Kunal Ghosh after which he tried to commit suicide. Meanwhile CPI leader Gurudas Dasgupta said that Mamata Banerjee's government is trying to destroy evidences.

Appeal to people to maintain peace and respect judicial process: Haryana CM on Sant Rampal

Chandigarh, Nov 15 (ANI): Speaking over controversial preacher Sant Rampal, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday appealed to the people of the state to maintain calm and respect judicial process. Rampal has been evading arrest citing ill-health. His spokespersons have been openly challenging the government to arrest him. His ashram, where he lives, has turned into a fortress with hundreds of followers, many of them armed, camping day and night to ensure that Sant Rampal is not arrested.

Cabinet Ministers slam Chidambaram's remark on AFSPA

New Delhi/ Srinagar, Nov 15 (ANI): Cabinet ministers on Saturday slammed Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram's remark on AFSPA in which he called it an 'obnoxious law'. Minister of State in Ministry of Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju said that Chidambaram should not take advantage of elections in Jammu and Kashmir and make instigating statements regarding laws. Minister of State in Ministry of External Affairs, Gen (Retd) VK Singh said that AFSPA is a law under Indian Constitution and does not give unlimited power to the Army. Referring to the Machil case, he added that whenever army makes any mistake it is quick to give punishment.

India needs to take serious note of developments between Pakistan and China: Security Experts

New Delhi, Nov 15 (ANI): After BSF raised the issue of Chinese troops imparting weapons training to Pakistan forces, Security Experts on Saturday said that India needs to take serious note of developments between Pakistan and China. BSF has told National Security Advisor that Chinese troops have been spotted imparting arms training to Pakistan Army on Pakistani forward locations on the border opposite the Rajouri sector in Jammu and Kashmir. Security Experts Uday Bhaskar and Kamal Mitra Chenoy expressed concern in the issue and said that such developing relations between the two countries can prove fatal for India. Chenoy also said that India should take support of other nations in this regard and join hands together against any untoward development.
