Germany legend Michael Ballack backs former club Chelsea for Premier League title

Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack has backed the London club to win the Premier League title. Chelsea are eight points clear in the league, and recently equalled the record for most consecutive wins in the Premier League with 14. Syria: Hundreds protest outside Downing Street over Aleppo offensive

Around 200 people demonstrated outside 10 Downing Street on 13 December, calling on the UK government to do more to help the people of Aleppo, Syria. Forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad say they have control of 98% of the city, and the Russian ambassador to the United Nations (UN), Vitaly Churkin said that military action in the area has ceased. The timelapse videos have been released under a project called Google Earth Timelapse, who said they shifted through five million satellite images from five different satellites. CCTV shows woman left paralysed after car drives onto pavement

CCTV footage has been released showing the moment a woman was left paralysed after a car drove onto the pavement. The video, released by the Metropolitan Police, captures the incident which happened on the 29 May in Norwood, London.The woman who was paralysed was 30-year-old Chanelle Higgins. According to to the police appeal, Higgins was paralysed from the waist down and is confined to a wheelchair.The police said that on 16 June a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
