Prabhas' The Raja Saab has concluded the first week with a decent collection at the worldwide box office and inched closer to Rs 250 crore gross mark in seven days.

The Raja Saab was released in a large number of cinema halls on January 9 and opened to a thunderous response with superb advance booking. The movie collected Rs 100 crore on the first day but failed to beat Prabhas' previous films—Kalki AD, Adipurush, and Salaar.

The Prabhas starrer received mixed reviews and ratings from the audience and the word of mouth took a toll on its collection on the next day. The Raja Saab witnessed over a 60 percent drop in its collection on Saturday and Sunday, on which the film raked in Rs 85 crore gross. The movie raked in a total of Rs 185 crore gross at the worldwide box office in the first weekend.

The Raja Saab clashed a series of movies like Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi, Anaganaga Oka Raju and Naari Naari Naduma Murari, which hit the screens on January 12, 13, 14 and 15 respectively. These movies not only reduced its shows, but also eat away its share by becoming first choice.

The Maruthi-directed movie witnessed 50 percent drop when compared to its business on Saturday. However, The Raja Saab ran to packed houses in several centers on the weekdays. The film has collected approximately Rs 60 crore gross at the worldwide box office on the weekdays, and its seven-day global collection stands at Rs 245 crore gross.

The Raja Saab has been produced with a whopping budget of Rs 500 crore. Its theatrical rights have fetched Rs 200 crore for its producers. The movie is estimated to have earned Rs 125 crore from its theatrical run for its distributors. It has recovered over 60 percent of their investments in seven days. It is expected to recover the remaining amount in the coming days.

However, The Raja Saab received negative reviews from critics, who criticized its weak script and lack of substance and called it an overstretched narrative without soul and logic. The film ended up as a massive commercial disaster, becoming one of Prabhas' biggest failures.
