
The Raja Saab has received brilliant opening at the worldwide box office on Friday. But it has failed to beat the collection records of Prabhas' previous releases Kalki AD and Salaar.
The Raja Saab had been ripples in the media, ever since it was announced. Adding to hype are its promos, which had soared the expectations sky high. The hype surrounding it made its theatrical rights to sell at record prices. The distributors planned a grand worldwide release to cash in on craze for the movie, which was released in around 5000 screens.
The Raja Saab had paid previews held across the country on Thursday and the movie collected Rs 9.50 crore in these shows. The film was also premiered in over 450 locations in North America and grossed nearly Rs 10 crore at the USA box office in the premiere shows.
The screening of The Raja Saab in the wee hours of Friday in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka and the movie recorded housefull shows in many locations. The film register 100 percent occupany in these areas. The movie also received decent response in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. But footfalls for its Hindi version was shocking low despite huge promotions.
As per the early estimates, The Raja Saab has collected Rs 61 crore at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on the first day of its release. The movie has garnered Rs 8.25 crore gross in Karnataka, Rs 2.5 crore in Kerala and Rs 5 crore in Tamil Nadu. Its Hindi version has minted Rs 8 crore in north India and other locations of the country.

The Raja Saab is estimated to have collected over Rs 25 crore at the US box office on the first day as well as premiere shows. The movie has minted another Rs 18 crore in other international markets on its opening day.
The Raja Saab has collected a total of Rs 129.25 crore gross at the worldwide box office on the first of its release. It has become the fourth movie of Prabhas to score a century on the opening day. But it has failed to beat the record of Kalki AD and Salaar, which raked in Rs 131 crore gross, Rs170 crore gross and Rs 165.30 crore gross respectively.
