Trade expert predicted that The Raja Saab, which was released in theatres on January 9, would halt the collection of Dhurandhar in the domestic market. As predicted, its business was affected to some extent, as the movie witnessed over 40 percent drop on its sixth Friday.

But the viewers and audience gave thumbs down for The Raja Saab. They said the movie lacked thrills and much needed grip in the narration. Prabhas comedy timing has lacked the sharpness. Its Hindi version performed very poorly on its opening day. Following this word of mouth, Dhurandhar once again become first choice for many viewers.

Dhurandhar has showed 69 percent growth in its business and collected Rs 6.10 crore net at the Indian box office taking it net total Rs 850.55 crore in the domestic market in 37 days. Dhurandhar has crossed Rs 850 crore mark in 37 days. Taran Adarsh posted, "850 NOT OUT... #Dhurandhar shines yet again... The business jumps by 69.44% on its sixth Saturday, clearly reflecting its unstoppable run. Having crossed the ₹ 850 cr milestone, the big question now is – will it cross the ₹ 900 cr mark?"

Trade expert predict that Dhurandhar would further growth on Sunday. It will also perform well on weekdays. The movie would head towards Rs 900 crore mark. The movie has been made with a budget of Rs 250 crore and theatrical rights were sold for Rs 250 crore. The film has fetched over Rs 500 crore from its theatrical run and become big benefit for both distributor and producer.  

Dhurandhar is a spy action thriller film written, co-produced, and directed by Aditya Dhar. Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar under Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the movie stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and several other actors.
