It's the final day of the 2016-17 Premier League season and while most teams have nothing left to play for with Chelsea already the champions and Tottenham set to finish second. The three relegated teams have also been decided in Hull City, Middlesbrough and Sunderland ,but the race for the final two Champions League spots is still up for grabs with Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal set to battle it out on the final day.

Manchester City are currently on 75 points and a win against Watford will guarantee them third place. Liverpool go up against already relegated Middlesbrough and the Reds need the three points to seal the final Champions League spot. And finally Arsenal's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season is out of their hands.

The Gunners go up against Everton and even if Arsene Wenger's men can pick up the three points today, they need Middlesbrough to hold Liverpool to a draw at least if they are to continue their impressive record of always qualifying for the Champions League under Wenger.

Since losing to Tottenham, Arsenal have been really impressive in the Premier League, winning four games in a row which included a 2-0 win against Manchester United. Also, the Gunners are unbeaten in their last 20 Premier League home games against Everton and the Arsenal players will be keen to keep that record intact today.

Captain Laurent Koscielny may miss out again due to a calf problem while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has not yet recovered from a hamstring injury. There were concerns about the fitness of Aaron Ramsey after he limped off in the win against Sunderland but the Welshman should be fit to start.

During his pre-match press conference, Wenger said he is only concerned about getting the three points against Everton today.

"I think what is the most important for us is to win the football game we play on Sunday. After that, what happens to me is less important. I'm here to serve the club and the best way to do that is to win the next game," ESPN quoted Wenger as saying.

"I am not a betting man. It doesn't matter about chances. We are professional and we want to win. We just want everyone to play 100% in their last game, that is usually the way in England. We just have to focus on our game."

Jurgen Klopp said If they have enough points after this match day then they deserve to go to the Champions League.

"There are a lot of things you can think about this game but at the end it is a football game. First of all you have to respect the opponent, the rules, and the 90 minutes. All the rest, in terms of what it means for us, we can talk about after the game," Klopp said.

"I think never in history someone said before a game: 'This will be the start of a new era'. Maybe we can mark it in the middle of next season or later but it is not the game. If we have enough points after this match day then we deserve to go to the Champions League, if not then we won't deserve it."

Liverpool go into this match as the clear favourites but the Reds have been known to switch off against team in the lower half of the table this season. All six of Liverpool's Premier League defeats this season have been against sides currently outside the top seven, with their two home defeats coming against 17th placed Swansea and 13th placed Crystal Palace.

However, Liverpool are unbeaten against Middlesbrough in their last 21 league games at Anfield so it's not going to be easy to predict the outcome of this match. The only concern for Klopp ahead of the match is the fitness of Roberto Firmino. The Brazilian sat out in their 4-0 win against West Ham.
