Manipur's border town Moreh gets its first court of Judicial Magistrate.

Moreh, Oct 02 (ANI): The first ever Court of Judicial Magistrate First class cum Civil court at Moreh was recently inaugurated by the Chief Justice of Manipur High Court, Justice Abhay Manohar Sapre. The court is the first of its kind in Manipur and it has video conferencing facility. Plans are on to establish more such courts in every district of the state. The state got an independent high court this year in March. Moreh, situated in Chandel district is located on the border with Myanmar. The opening of the court has come as a relief for people of the town who earlier had to travel long distances to settle legal matters.

Bangladesh filmmaker seeks India's support to uphold spirit of liberation war

Agartala, Oct 02 (ANI): Veteran Bangladeshi filmmaker, Nasiruddin Yousuff, sought India’s support to uphold the spirit of 1971 liberation war, while he urged it to join in the fight against the fundamentalists. Yousuff formed a group called 'Friends of Bangladesh' and is holding seminars and talks in his country and outside to ask people to raise their voices against the rising religious fundamentalist groups in Bangladesh. Yousuff said in Agartala, Tripura that he formed the group to garner support not only from India but from other nations.

Weak rupee injects booster dose to Indias medical tourism

New Delhi, Oct 02 (ANI): A weak rupee coupled with a range of quality healthcare options focussed on providing hassle free healing experience to the foreign patients is driving a boom in India's medical tourism industry. The study conducted by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASSOCHAM) said the fall in the rupee has made medical treatment cheaper for foreign patients by nearly 25-30 percent and has also led to a spur in the number of foreign patients arriving in India over the past six months. The overseas patients come to India for complex surgeries involving the chest, the intestines, and transplantation of organs or replacement of the joints.
