Amid opposition demands for a probe, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, said in Rajya Sabha, that there is no truth in the reports on bugging. He further added that Nitin Gadkari himself has denied it and calls the news baseless. The statement was followed by even louder protests from the opposition benches.
