New Delhi, Nov 18 (ANI): The Union Home Ministry has sanctioned Z-category security for yoga guru Ramdev. The yoga guru already has Z-category security provided him to by the Uttarakhand government, but the decision to grant him central security cover was taken after the Intelligence Bureau submitted a report citing a threat to his life outside his home state. Ramdev campaigned for BJP during the Lok Sabha polls. Reacting over this BJP said that there should not be politicization over providing security to anybody by such agencies. Nov 18, 2014

Market Experts credit PM Modi's Australia visit for Sensex, Nifty hitting record highs

New Delhi/ Mumbai, Nov 18 (ANI): Market Experts on Tuesday credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Australia visit as the Sensex and the Nifty hit record highs. The SandP BSE Sensex rallied as much as 105 points in trade on Tuesday to touch its fresh record high of 28282.85, led by gains in RIL, Bharti Airtel, LandT and Sesa Sterlite. Tracking the momentum, the 50-share Nifty index also surged 24 points to touch its fresh lifetime high of 8454.50, supported by gains in metal, power, capital goods and auto stocks. M arket Expert Akash Jindal said that Modi's Australia visit has been a positive one and that that Modi is bringing along optimism in the nation's economy. Governor of Victoria Alex Chernov is also hosting the chief executives' roundtable during which Modi would interact with the who's who of the Australian industry and business houses. Modi signed the regular visitor's note at the entry. Following the same, PM Modi met top Australian business leaders at a Melbourne roundtable that will also have leaders from India Inc in attendance. The 20-member Indian delegation at the roundtable includes the likes of Essar Group chairman Shashi Ruia, Gautam Adani, founder and chairman, Adani group, Anand Mahindra, chairman and managing director, Mahindra Group, Vishal Sikka, chairman and managing director, Infosys, and BP Rao of BHE among others. Agartala, Nov 18 (ANI): Militants killed two persons, including a border guard, in Tripura. The incident took place when Border Security Force (BSF) personnel went to fetch water in a civilian water tanker of the Coastal Construction Company to a nearby area. The BSF soldier was accompanied by two other civilians, including the driver of the water tanker. A group of militants ambushed the vehicle. Pune, Nov 18 (ANI): India and China began their 'Joint Training Exercise Hand – in – Hand 2014" in Pune. The exercise that aims at focusing on counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism tactics comes weeks after a stand-off between their troops along the border in Ladakh region. Lt General Bobby Mathews of Indian Army and Lt general Shi Xiangyuan of the Chinese Army inspected the guard of honour during the exercise.
