Mumbai Indians rode on destructive half centuries from Englishman Jos Buttler and young Nitish Rana to thrash Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by eight wickets in an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 encounter at the Holkar Cricket Stadium here on Thursday. Buttler's 37-ball 77, laced with seven fours and five huge sixes and Rana's unbeaten 31-ball 54, comprising seven mammoth punches over the rope, outshone South African star Hashim Amla's maiden T20 century for Kings XI, as the visitors overhauled the massive target of 199, with more than four overs to spare. Chasing a mammoth 199, the opening duo of Parthiv Patel (37) and Buttler dealt mostly in boundaries to raise Mumbai's highest first wicket stand of all IPL seasons of 81 runs, as the Punjab bowlers had little to counter the left-right pair. Buttler started the onslaught from the very first over dispatching medium pacer Sandeep Sharma for a six before lofting him for another in his next over as Mumbai raced to 50 in just four overs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) dominated with both bat and ball to beat Delhi Daredevils by 15 runs in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here on Wednesday. Electing to bat first on winning the toss, SRH posted a challenging total of 191/4 in their allotted 20 overs with quickfire half-centuries from Kane Williamson and Shikhar Dhawan. Williamson scored 89 runs off 51 balls with six boundaries and five sixes while Dhawan posted 50 runs, studding his 50-ball stint with seven boundaries and a six. In reply, Delhi could only manage 176/5. Shreyas Iyer was their highest scorer, remaining unbeaten on 50 runs which came off 31 balls with five hits to the fence and two sixes. Mohammed Siraj was the most successful among the SRH bowlers with figures of 2/39.

IPL 10: Hyderabad beat Delhi in IPL tie

Opening batsman David Warner (70 not out) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (5/19) dazzled for Sunrisers Hyderabad as they withstood Manan Vohra's plundering 95 to pip Kings XI Punjab by five runs in an Indian Premier League (IPL) contest here on Monday. Warner's 70 not out lifted Hyderabad to 159/6 in 20 overs. In reply, opener Vohra single-handedly took Punjab on the brink of victory but his 50-ball knock, featuring nine fours and five sixes, couldn't prevent the visitors from being bowled out for 154 in 19.4 overs. Bhuvneshawar starred with the ball, getting five wickets for 19 runs in four overs to keep Punjab at bay as Hyderabad managed to end a two-match losing run at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) rode on a brilliant batting effort from Manish Pandey and Yusuf Pathan to beat Delhi Daredevils by four wickets in a thrilling Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 match at the Feroz Shah Kotla here on Monday. Pandey, who remained unbeaten on 69 off 49 balls rescued the visitors with a brilliant 110-run fourth wicket stand with Pathan (59) to turn the tide in favour of the visitors after a dreadful start in pursuit of Delhi's 168/7 in 20 overs. Needing nine from the last over, Mishra got Chris Woakes stumped off his second delivery but couldn't prevent Pandey from hitting him for a six off the fourth ball and then leaked two runs off the next to lose the tie.

IPL 10: Pandey, Pathan guide KKR to 4 wkt win vs Daredevils

Extending their winning streak to four matches, Mumbai Indians defeated Gujarat Lions by six wickets in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match here on Sunday. Nitish Rana (53), Rohit Sharma (40 not out) and Kieron Pollard (39) were the major contributors to Mumbai's cause. Chasing a challenging total of 177, Mumbai started off on a bad note as the home side lost opener Parthiv Patel (0) on the second ball of the first over. Parthiv, who got a leading edge, was caught by Jason Roy at backward point off Praveen Kumar while trying to flick the ball on the leg side. Opener Jos Buttler (26) and incoming batsman Nitish Rana (53) then played sensible innings as both batsmen forged an 85-run partnership for the second wicket before the latter was sent packing in the 10th over with he scoreboard reading 85/2.

Mumbai beat Gujarat by 6 wickets in IPL tie

Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) ended their three-match losing run as they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 27 runs in an Indian Premier League (IPL) game at the Chinnaswamy stadium here on Sunday. Asked to bat, Pune suffered a late batting collapse but managed to post a competitive total of 161 for eight in 20 overs. In reply, RCB put up an below-par show, being restricted to 134/9, as they suffered their hat-trick of losses. For Pune, Rahul Tripathi (31) and Ajinkya Rahane (30) provided a 63-run opening stand and a 58-run third-wicket stand between captain Steven Smith (27) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (28) led to expectations that they would score around 175. But Dhoni and Smith fell off successive deliveries starting from the final ball of the 16th over. They lost three more wickets within three runs. But Manoj Tiwary's quickfire 27 off 11 deliveries helped them get past 161.

Pune beat Bangalore to end losing streak in IPL

A hat-trick from debutant all-rounder Andrew Tye and sensible top-order batting helped Gujarat Lions (GL) outclass Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) by seven wickets in an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 match at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium here on Friday. The 30-year-old Tye bagged five wickets giving away 17 runs, the first in this edition of the IPL, including a hat-trick in the final over of Pune's innings, before the batsmen put on a collective show to chase down the 172 target, with two overs to spare.

IPL 10: All-round Gujarat thrash Pune by 7 wickets

Kieran Pollards 70 runs in 47 deliveries helped Mumbai Indians withstand a fiery spell, including a hat-trick, from leg-spinner Samuel Badree as the visitors registered a four-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to go top of the Indian Premier League (IPL) with six points here on Friday. In pursuit of RCB's 142/5, Mumbai had a horrendous start as Badree snared a hat-trick in the third over, removing Parthiv Patel (3), Mitchell McClanaghan (0) and Rohit Sharma (0) to plunge the visitors to 7/4, with opener Jos Buttler (2) already being dismissed by Stuart Binny in the second over. In the second ball of the West Indian leg-spinner Badree's second over, Parthiv offered a catch to Chris Gayle at short cover, while McClenaghan smashed a full toss into the hands of Mandeep Singh at long on. Facing the hat-trick ball, Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma couldn't tackle a googly which destroyed the stumps to mark Badree registering the 15th hat-trick in IPL history.

Mumbai Indians dominated with both bat and ball to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by four wickets in an Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at the Wankhede Stadium here on Wednesday. Choosing to field on winning the toss, Mumbai restricted SRH to 158/8 in 20 overs and then achieved the target in 18.4 overs losing six wickets along the way. Nitish Rana played a crucial role for Mumbai with a 36-ball 45 which included three boundaries and two sixes. He produced a 48-run partnership along with Krunal Pandya which came off 21 balls. Pandya scored 37 runs off 20 deliveries which included three boundaries and an equal number of sixes. Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the most successful among the SRH bowlers with figures of 3/21 Ashish Nehra, Deepak Hooda and Rashid Khan got a wicket each.

IPL 2017: Mumbai Indians beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 4 wickets

Delhi Daredevils rode on an all-round effort to thrash Rising Pune Supergiant by 97 runs in an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 match at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium here on Tuesday. While Kerala youngster Sanju Samson's maiden T20 hundred set things on fire in the first innings as Delhi posted a mammoth 204/5, captain Zaheer Khan led from the front with three wickets to bundle the hosts out for a paltry 108 in 16.1 overs. Zaheer (3/20) was complimented well by leg-spinner Amit Mishra, who returned with figures of 3/11 and Australian pacer Pat Cummins (2/24) as Pune succumbed to their second defeat in their three matches so far. Chasing a mammoth 205, Pune's innings derailed in the third over when opener and stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane (10) fell to Zaheer.

IPL-10: All-round Delhi thrash Pune Supergiant by 97 runs

Kings XI Punjab rode on a solid batting performance by Hashim Amla and skipper Glenn Maxwell to thrash Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by eight wickets in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Holkar Stadium here on Monday. Chasing a 149-run target, Punjab were boosted by an unbeaten half-century by experienced opener Amla and a power-packed innings by Maxwell lower down the order and crossed the line with 33 balls to spare. Amla batted through the innings and remained unbeaten on 58 runs off 38 deliveries, hitting four boundaries and three sixes along the way. Maxwell played a typically explosive innings, smashing 43 runs off 22 balls with three boundaries and four massive hits into the stands. Punjab had a strong start to their chase as the opening pair of Amla and Manan Vohra added 62 runs between them in less than six overs.

Leg-spinner Rashid Khan (3/19) and seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/21) put up impressive bowling performances to help Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) outplay Gujarat Lions (GL) by nine wickets and register their second consecutive win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) here on Sunday. Thanks to the heroics of 19-year-old Afghan slow bowler Rashid and India medium pacer Bhuvneshwar, the defending champions restricted Gujarat Lions (GL) to a low total of 135/7 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The target never appeared a challenge for the hosts, who rode on pyrotechnics from captain David Warner (76 not out off 45 deliveries) and Moises Henriques (52 not out off 39 balls) to maul the inefficient and inexperienced Gujarat bowlers and give Hyderabad an easy victory with 4.3 overs to spare.
