My Sassy Girl, the Korean mini-series, will be back with episodes 3 and 4 this Tuesday, May 30, at 10 pm KST on SBS. It will continue to focus on the rivalry between Gyeon Woo and Princess Hye Myung.

The period drama began by introducing various challenges faced by King Hwijong and the dethroning of Queen Han. It also focused on the evil moves by the male antagonist, Jung Ki Joon, who pretends to be a loyal servant of the royal family.

"I was disappointed with this first episode. I understand its historical fiction but they really take it too far," wrote a viewer.

The second half of mini-series began with a time-jump and it revolved around the complicated relationship between Gyeon Woo and Princess Hye Myung. It also featured Lee Jung Shin as Kang Joon Youn and Kim Yoon Hye as Jung Da Yeon.

However, the viewers were not impressed with the second episode. "The second episode is already way ahead with the story..." commented a viewer. While another viewer stated, "Got nothing to hold on to."

"Kdramas, either set in historical or contemporary times, often portrays their men to be pussies when dealing with their women, being pulled by their noses. Just because the Queen Dowager okay to dethrone the Queen, he went along with it. The queen was accused of adultery merely based on a poster and the testimony of a general," read another comment.

Often Korean period dramas fail to generate interest in the first few episodes and receive criticisms from the viewers for the same. But the series manages to prime the pump with thrilling plot twists in few weeks time. The new SBS drama might get on the bandwagon and witness an increase in viewership ratings later on.
