My Sassy Girl episode 1 (premiere) will telecast on SBS this Monday, May 29, at 10pm KST. It will feature Yong Pal star Joo Won and Please Come Back Mister actress Oh Yeon Seo in lead roles.
The Korean period drama is roughly based on a popular historical film of the same name. It will focus on the relationship between a well known scholar from the Joseon era named Gyeon Woo and the sassy Princess Hye Myung.

While Joo Won will portray the male protagonist, Oh Yeon Seo will feature the title character. Others to appear in the mini-series include Cinderella And Four Knights star Lee Jung Shin and Vampire Detective actress Kim Yoon Hye.
The historical drama is considered as one of the highly anticipated Korean mini-series after The Legend Of The Blue Sea mainly because it is the last acting project of Joo Won before he gets enlisted for military service.

The cast members of SBS show have already made a rating promise to the Korean drama lovers. "If we surpass 20 percent in viewership ratings, we will go see his military unit. We will make a surprise visit and buy Joo Won delicious food as well," Soompi quoted Oh Yeon Seo.
The actress also shared some details about her character Princess Hye Myung and said, "My character's personality is very unique, as she is a bright character that always climbs walls after drinking. I think she is sort of similar to me though."
Meanwhile Joo Won stated that he had lot of fun with his co-star Oh Yeon Seo during the filming of My Sassy Girl. "It is our first time working together. Because we are the same age, we have a lot of mutual friends," the actor said.
However, the creators of the historical drama revealed that the number of episodes for the series has been cut short from 20 to 16. According to them, it is to improve the quality of the drama.
