Popular indigenous smartphone maker Micromax is reportedly prepping to launch a new mid-range handset in India.
Twitter spy @ MMXNewscaster has leaked the specifications of an alleged Micromax phone, code named 'A190'. The new device is said to sport a 5.0-inch HD (720x1280p) screen, Android v4.4 KitKat OS, 1GB RAM, 8GB (most likely support microSD card slot), 2000 mAh battery and is expected to come in two colour variants - black and white.

What's interesting is that the A190 would be the company's first ever the Hexa-core smartphone, joining the ranks of Samsung Karbonn and Xolo to offer 6-core CPU based handsets.
Though the company is yet to respond to the rumors, MMXNewscaster has a good track record of foretelling Micromax's devices much before their launch, so we can assume the report to turn out be true in coming days.
Once released, Micromax A190 will be competing with the Karbonn Titanium Hexa, the recently released Xolo Play 6X-1000, which all fall around ₹15,000 price range. In related news, Micromax has reportedly launched a budget Android KitKat handset, dubbed Canvas Fire A093, in India for ₹6,299.

Mumbai-based phone retailer Mahesh Telecom confirmed the news via Twitter and also revealed the specifications of the new Micromax Canvas Fire. It sports a 4.0-inch WVGA (800x480p) display and ships with Android v4.4 KitKat, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, expandable memory (up to 32GB), 5.0-megapixel camera, 0.3-megapixel VGA snapper on the front, and a 1750 mAh battery.
Micromax Canvas Fire A093 is the fourth budget Android KitKat phone to get released by the company is just two months. It has so far released Canvas Unite 2, Entice A105, and Engage A091 and also will be competing with Motorola Moto E, Lava (Iris X1), Xolo (Q600s), Celkon (Campus A35K), Karbonn (Titanium S99), Intex Aqua Curve Mini and many others have also released similar devices.
