The device is pegged against the Motorola's latest entry level smartphone Moto E and is available in Pristine White, Balmy Green, Mystic Grey and Raging Red colours.

"India is a diverse country and language at times can act as a barrier for people to seamlessly communicate on their phones. Therefore, we firmly believe that support for local languages on phones will perhaps be the next big driver for day to day phone transactions, Internet usage and online content consumption in India given that most of the population does not use English as their primary language," NDTV Gadgets quoted Shubhodip Pal, CMO, Micromax.

Recently, the company launched Micromax Canvas Elanza 2 in the country. It sports 5-inch HD TFT display with a 720x1280 pixel resolution and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
