Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises have announced their final list of retained players for the 2019 edition of the T20 tournament ahead of the impending auction and there are some notable absentees, including Yuvraj Singh.

Last edition's victors Chennai Super Kings retained the maximum number of players with 23 while Kings XI Punjab retained the least number of players with 10.

Earlier in the day, Cricket Australia had announced that the players who are going to be picked for the ICC World Cup 2019 will not be allowed to participate in the final 2-3 weeks of the tournament as the Aussies will attend a preparatory camp for their title defence.

On the Indian front, two-time IPL winner Gautam Gambhir has been left without a teammate and so has his former Daredevils teammate and India international, Mohammed Shami.

Among overseas big names not a part of any squad heading into the auction are Glen Maxwell, Brendon McCullum, Aaron Finch and Windies T20 captain, Carlos Brathwaite.
