Intex Aqua i14, N15 Budget Smartphones with Android KitKat OS Launched; Price, Availability Details

Home grown consumer electronics firm, Intex has announced a two entry-level Android smartphones dubbed as Aqua i14 and N15 in India.

"We at Intex are proud to incorporate Android KitKat OS in our Aqua portfolio which will enable our users to experience a seamless user interface and smooth functioning of apps. The devices are laden with all the latest features which a user expects from a smartphone including a IPS display screen to provide users an enjoyable experience while watching their favourite content, all this at a very affordable rate", said Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Business Head- Mobiles, Intex.

Intex's Aqua i14 features a 5.0-inch FWVGA (854 x 480p) screen, Android v4.4 KitKat OS, 1GB RAM, 4GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 32GB), 8.0-megapixel camera, a 2.0-megapixel snapper on the front and a 1,850 mAh battery.

On the other hand, Aqua N15 is just a smaller variant of the above model and comes with same hardware specifications. It is priced ₹6,090 only, whereas, Aqua i14 holds a price tag of ₹7,090. Both the devices are now available at all Intex retail stores, hypermarkets and leading e-commerce portals across India.

The new Intex Aqua i14 and N15 are the latest domestic branded handsets to join the burgeoning budget KitKat smartphone club in India. The credit goes to Motorola which has raised the bar in the industry to offer feature-rich low-cost phones like Moto E (and also Moto G, X) boasting high-end specifications like Gorilla Glass 3 shield, water-resistant coating, latest Android OS and Snapdragon chipset.

So far, Micromax (three devices- Canvas Unite 2, Entice A105, and Engage A091), Lava (Iris X1), Xolo (Q600s), Celkon (Campus A35K), Karbonn (Titanium S99) and others have released similar devices.
