A group of eight men in Haryana's Nuh district recently allegedly raped a seven-year-old pregnant goat. A postmortem report has now confirmed that human semen was found on the goat's vulva, but it is unlikely that it was raped by all eight men.

According to the police officials, the crime took place on July 25. The goat's owner, Aslup Khan, reportedly found the men sexually assaulting the goat, after which he filed a police complaint.

Dr Ramvir Bhardwaj, veterinary surgeon of animal husbandry has submitted a postmortem report of the goat, which confirms that human semen was present on the goat. "Although we have collected the vaginal samples and sent it to forensics for further examination, it is a clear case of bestiality," said Bhardwaj told The Print.

According to a doctor's report, it is unlikely that she was raped by eight men as the goat's vulva was swollen but no visible injuries were on found it. "The goat was definitely sexually assaulted, but it seems unlikely that it was done by eight men," the report said.

As per the report, a major damage to a vital centre in its brain might have led to heart block and asphyxia. Also, goat's left eye was injured and severe bruises were found on its forehead causing a major brain injury. The post postmortem report said that it was hit harder before being sexually abused.

The crime spot

The FIR filed by the police names Harun, Jaffar and Savkar, who were allegedly involved in the act. The men escaped after people started gathering around the house where the incident occurred.
Aslup said that a few villagers saw Harun and his friends taking away his goat to the abandoned house on July 25. On reaching the spot, he caught them red-handed and they were laughing and assaulting his goat. He tried to catch them but they all managed to flee.

Due to trauma, the goat stopped responding and eating and died a day after the incident.

Aslup alleged that the accused would often torment women in the village, and are involved in betting and arms-dealing.
