After launching the generic Zenfone Max Pro M1 models, Asus has released a top-end model with 6 GB RAM in India on Thursday, July 26.
The phone will be made available exclusively for Rs 14,999 on Flipkart, making it one of the most cost-effective mid-range Android phone in the market. It flaunts a 5.99-inch full HD+ screen and a metal-clad shell on the back with fingerprint sensor in the middle.
The Asus device comes with Qualcomm's efficient Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor backed by pure Android Oreo software and an expandable 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage.
The USP of the Asus device is its battery. It comes packed with a massive 5,000mAh battery, which is more than enough to last two days under regular usage.
It can also be noted that the new Zenfone Max Pro boasts of advanced camera hardware as compared to the low-end variants. The former comes with 16 MP + 5 MP dual camera on the back and an equally impressive 16 MP front snapper while the latter comes with 13 MP + 5 MP rear sensors and an 8 MP front shooter.
I had the opportunity to review the Zenfone Max Pro (6 GB RAM) for a week and the improved camera hardware lives up to the expectations. The phone's other aspects such as the build quality, pure Android OS experience, performance and battery are quite praiseworthy. I will be posting the full review on Friday (27 July). Stay tuned.
