Apple iPhone 2018 series: What we know so far

As per the information we gathered so far, Apple is expected to announce three new mobiles— the iPhone Xs Plus, the iPhone Xs and the iPhone 9— with several upgrades over the 2017-series models.

Since the iPhone 3G and later models, every alternate year, Apple launch S series by keeping the previous iterations design, but incorporated incremental upgrade in terms of internal hardware such as CPU and camera. This year too, all the upcoming three devices will borrow the 2017-series iPhone X design language with a big notch on top of the display, but differ in terms of the screen sizes and building material.

First up, the iPhone Xs Plus, as the name suggests, it will come with big 6.5-inch AMOLED screen and a bigger battery.

On the other hand, iPhone Xs will be the true successor of the iPhone X (2017) and will retain with 5.8-inch AMOLED screen size.

Both aforementioned models will flaunt the stainless steel-based frame and back-shell with glossy glass on top. For the first time, Apple plans to bring new iPhones in a gold shade.

The iPhone 9 is said to the most affordable among the lot. It has 6.1-inch LCD screen, aluminium-based shell and a 2,600 (or 2700) mAh battery. It is expected to be retailed in the price range of around $600.

All the 2018-series iPhones are coming with new generation 7nm Apple 12 processor and improved True Depth front-camera with FaceID capability. Under the premium shell case, the company is said to have incorporated an improved wireless charging coil for faster charging.
