Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is popularly known to the world as Bollywood actress, former Miss World, one of the World's Most Beautiful Women and now a doting mother.

The actress gave birth to their first child on Nov 16 and since then she has become a subject of immense media scrutiny. Life as an ex-miss world or one of the World's Most Beautiful Women isn't that easy, but for Ash it's not that difficult.

Ash has come under harsh criticism for her weight gain after the birth of Beti B. Several media houses criticized the actress, who is considered to be the best known Indian face around the world, for not getting back her slim figure.

The actress was criticized by some of her fans for gaining weight after the birth of her first child but the film industry came in support of her and slammed the media for creating uneccesary hype.

Recently, her father-in-law and Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan defended her, and now hubby Abhishek Bachchan has come out to defend her gorgeous wife.

The actor during an interview with DNA newspaper was asked about his wife's immense scrutiny on post-baby weight gain and her appearances, to which he said that it's extremely sensitive.

"I just think it's extremely insensitive and no one has the liberty to speak about her like the way they sometimes do. Yes, she's a public figure, but people forget she's also a woman and now a mother and there's a line that's not to be crossed," he told the newspaper.

"I don't talk that way about any woman ever and it's obviously not graceful for anyone to talk about her like that either. But maybe that's expecting too much, so to be honest, we kind of not let it affect us at all. Like Aishwarya always says, 'negativity is like one drop in a huge ocean of positivity' and we'd rather be happy about the love and blessings we get," he added.

Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan said that he is amazed how people worldwide have interest in celebrity lifestyle.

"Good issues do not create interesting programming, the sensational does, not just here in our country, but all over the world," he wrote on his blog bigb.bigadda.com.

"Celebrities are not some outer world aliens; they are as human as you and me. Mistakes and errors will be made and shall be highlighted. The courage and strength to continuously face it, is what counts. Some do a marvelous job, others succumb. Some make light of it, others get affected," he added.

But for the actress and now a mother pregnancy weight gain doesn't bother her. Earlier this week, Ash in an interview to a newspaper said that her life has changed after giving birth to Aaradhya. For Ash her life has become quieter and she is enjoying it.

"Life has become quieter, which is very nice; I am spending a lot of time with her and just enjoying being a family," Ash told the newspaper.
