It is not just the Akshaye Khanna track that has gained widespread appreciation. 'Shararat' song featuring Krystle D'souza and Ayesha Khan has also jumped to the top of the chartbusters list. The song comes at an interesting twist in the film and has left everyone on social media hooked. While Krystle and Ayesha have done a phenomenal dance in the song, they weren't the first choice.
Why NOT Tamannaah
'Shararat' choreographer, Vijay Ganguly has revealed that he had proposed the idea of bringing Tamannaah Bhatia for the song. However, director Aditya Dhar rejected the idea. Ganguly said that Aditya was very clear on the fact that he didn't want it to appear like an item number. He added it was the reason why the song had two actresses dancing and not just one.

Why two actresses
"Aditya was very clear that he did not want what people call an item song, something that went out of the story. If it were just about one girl, it would have taken attention away from the story. That's why there are two girls, not one. He didn't want the attention to be about this one person. If it was Tamannaah, it would've been about her and not the story," he told Filmygyan.

The choreographer mentioned that the song was just the background of an important part in the film's plot and Dhar didn't want it to appear like an item number. "Jo ho raha tha film mein, there was a lot going on, and if you go away from the story, then the song is just a cut-to song," he added.
The song comes at a point where Ranveer Singh's character gets married to Rakesh Bedi's daughter. This marks an important point of turn in the story. For those who didn't know, Vijay had also choreographed Tamannaah Bhatia's hit track – 'Aaj Ki Raat' from Stree 2.
