The first-look poster of Prithviraj Sukumaran's upcoming movie Vimaanam has been unveiled online. The young star shared the poster featuring him via his Facebook page on Friday, December 16.

"To fly was his dream...to love was his destiny!" Vimaanam 1st look! [sic]," Prithviraj wrote while sharing the first look of the Pradeep M Nair directorial.

The plot of Vimaanam is inspired from the real-life story of deaf and mute Saji, who hails from Thodupuzha in Kerala's Idukki district. The class 7 drop-out rose to fame for making and flying an aircraft.

The twin seater ultra-light aircraft, named Saji X Air-S, was made mostly using recycled material and parts of other vehicles. It made headlines after its first successful take off at Ambasamudram in Tamil Nadu on April 10, 2014.

Earlier, many posters, said to be that of the Prithviraj-starrer, were doing the rounds on social media, however, with the release of the official poster, it has now revealed that the others were fan-made. There were reports that Vimaanam has a storyline similar to another movie, helmed by Srikant Murali, for which Vineeth Sreenivasan has been roped in.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj has a handful of projects in his kitty lined up for 2017, including Roshni Dinaker's My Story, Jiyen Krishnakumar's Tiyaan, Kamal's Aami, Jamesh Kottakkal's Beautiful Game, Nirmal Sahadev's Detroit Crossing, RS Vimal's Karnan and Blessy's Aadu Jeevitham, among others.

The actor is awaiting the release of horror thriller Ezra, which was scheduled to hit the screens on December 23. However, due to a tiff between the producers and distributors associations in Mollywood, the release date of the Jay K directorial has been postponed. Prithviraj will also making his debut as a director with the Mohanlal-starrer Lucifer.
