The official trailer of Prithviraj Sukumaran's upcoming movie Ezra was released online on Wednesday, December 14. The one-minute-33-second video features Prithviraj, Priya Anand and other main actors of the horror thriller.
No Christmas release in Malayalam due to tiff between Mollywood associations?
The 50-second teaser of the Jay K directorial, had earlier opened to positive response from the audience. The video has been viewed more than one million times within a month of its release on the cyber space. At the time of release, it also had become one of the top trending videos on YouTube India.
Earlier, during the shooting of the upcoming spooky movie, reports had it that the team
had witnessed certain unusual things happening on the sets. According to reports, the
team of Ezra had witnessed electricity connection failure, after which the generator stopped working causing damage to costly cameras. Later, a priest was even called to bless the "haunted" location.
With Ezra, actress Priya Anand makes her debut in Malayalam and the movie also stars Tovino Thomas, Sudev Nair, Vijayaraghavan, Sujith Shanker, Pratap Pothen and Babu Antony in significant roles.
Though the Prithviraj-starrer has been scheduled to hit screens as a Christmas release on December 23, latest we hear from the industry is that no Malayalam movie will be released this month due to the tiff between the producers and distribution association in Mollywood. Meanwhile, the makers have released few posters with the movie's name in Telugu and Tamil, which hint that the horror thriller will be released in multiple languages, simultaneously.
