Donald Trump calls negative phone call with Malcom Turnbull fake news

U.S. President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull met in New York City for the first time on 4 May where they labelled a reportedly negative February phone call in as exaggerated fake news.The meeting was delayed by several hours after the the bill to replace Obamacare passed in the House of Representatives. The face-to-face meeting followed a reportedly hostile phone call between the two in February, before Trump took to Twitter to call the refugee resettlement plan a dumb deal. Despite the tumultuous status of the deal, Trump said the refugee resettlement had been worked out for a long time – the deal was reaffirmed by Vice President Mike Pence in April during his visit to Australia.
