Seoul, New Delhi share concerns on North Korea's nuclear agenda, urge compliance

New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): South Korean President Park Geun-Hye said on Thursday, India shared its concerns on North Korea's ambitious nuclear weapon programme and urged its neighbour to comply with international obligations on the nuclear front. Park arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday for an official four-day visit that would conclude on January 18. South Korea's first woman President held delegation level talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and discussed bilateral, regional and global issues. Park's ongoing visit to India also seems to have pushed forward the much embattled POSCO project that has been hobbled by delays in getting clearances, acquiring land and obtaining an iron ore mining licence. Meanwhile the South Korean leader also appreciated India's move to revise the long pending Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh agreed with President Park to bolster trade ties between the two countries and said India was ready to offer greater avenues and opportunities to Korean businesses.
